Based in Spain, Damaris Vrandecic creates poetic shoes and accessories using organic materials such as leather, wood, bone and shells. Her shoes are handcrafted using traditional techniques, fused with her own whimsical touch, for example, placing pieces of seashell between layers of leather to create an entirely new and unique texture. Hand-dyed silk and cotton laces complement washed, wrinkled, press and boiled leather. Wrapped in cotton muslin and housed inside a hand painted shoebox, Atelier Inscrire shoes are truly wearable art.
